Well, I have to admit it, I'm a real sucker for sweet food! From cakes, pastries, hot/ cold deserts, ice cream, cookies, marshmallows, biscuits, fruits (durian), pies, tarts.. and the list goes on. However, sugar makes me fat, gain weight :(( and i really have to control the intake of them. How i envy those people with 'i-don't-gain-weight-no-matter-how much-i-eat' and those 'i'm-naturally-stick-thin' genes. sigh, they can eat how much they like and exclaim "I am so troubled because I'm so light." LOL. Envious.. Back to the topic of sweets, Jie bought Baumkuchen for me on the last day of work! I feel so happy! Buffet at Goodwood to celebrate the start of work and Baumkuchen for me on the last day of work :)) Love my family members <3 In case you do not know what Baumkuchen is..
Baumkuchen is a kind of layered cake. It is a traditional dessert in many countries throughout Europe and is also a popular snack and dessert in Japan. The characteristic golden rings that appear when sliced give the cake its German name, Baumkuchen, which literally translates to "tree cake" or "log cake". It is also known as the "King of Cakes." (Source from Wikipedia)In addition, Baumkuchens are made as gifts to celebrate joyous events.
Jie went get the fanciful baumkuchen from Toa Payoh after she saw the magazine review on it. They are from Wheat Baumkuchen. They have baumkuchen in wide variety of flavours and appearances... Jie bought a few of them to try, green tea, chocolate, original, Oreo cheese Mascarpone etc.. and she bought a fruit one for me. Personally, I like the the original and the fruit one. However, jie thought that the green tea one was good if you are a fan of it. The chocolate one did not taste as good as it looks. The Oreo one was okay.. Overall, i feel that the cakes are quite okay and worth trying. :) Haven tried other flavours such as Almond Nutella and Valrhona Chocolate.. Give them a try of you are interested..

Since we are on the topic of sweet food, I just started watching an anime on sweet food! It's called Yumeiro Patissiere!
Haven watched anime for a long time, and this anime is all about sweets, confectionery.. what's not to love about it?
not to love about it? LOL. But i could only watch and salivate at the cakes and whatsoever when the characters eat and describe the taste of the food. How nice is it to be a manga character, you don't gain weight and you always look perfect with outstanding features.. haha. Some images searched from Google! Not mine..
Looks totally delicious right? Even though they all drawn.. Yes, i'm attracted to virtual sweets too, reason why i'm attracted to games like Baking Life or Restaurant City in Facebook. LOL. It makes me happy just looking at them :) hehe.
Actually i just created this post out of boredom and to post all the food that i like! hehe.. See all the yums yums.. Snacking on sugar donuts now again. LOL. I really have a sweet tooth.. Seriously, apart from looking at clothes online, I love sweets!! Ending the post with pictures of sweet food!! Have a sweet afternoon/ day/ week ahead! :D
