Akashi Japanese Restaurant

Backtrack to the Saturday 2 weeks ago, whereby my sisters and I went to Vivo City to find mumsy a birthday gift! But before that, it was lunch at Akashi Japanese Restaurant! The 2 gourmets had already tried this place once and insisted that they must return to it again. so there our lunch was settled at Akashi!! It was my virgin trip there, thus i was quite excited about it. the restaurant located at the basement, with 'wooden plank' exterior. It always looked very atas and mysterious to me... and I'll be stepping in to eat and see whats inside!! *WOO!!* Upon entering the restaurant, we were promptly lead to our seats by a pretty waitress dressed in Kimono. yeah, all their waitresses were dressed in Kimonos. While browsing through the menu, I was surprised to see that there were 2 separate prices for lunch and dinner. So it's better to go try it during lunch. The prices were not exactly pocket-friendly for students like ourselves, 2 sushis can cost $15? However, jie said that this proves authenticity, she said that this is how it will be like in Japan itself. I have nothing to say then, cause it already looked atas to me and the prices just proved it me that it IS atas, glam, posh etc.. Jie also assured that the quality is worth the price, so it's worth the try if you are feeling rich..

Our orders: Jie had 2 salmon sushis and a pork cutlet set, Mei had 2 salmon roe sushis and a saba fish set while I had an udon gyoza set.
Appetizer: Edamame Peas. Which were really good if you like them, and are a good source of fiber. I enjoyed popping them one by one into my mouth by squeezing the pods. we had fun eating the peas in different ways.. haha
According to my gourmet sisters, the sushi was tasted heavenly, the salmon was tender and juicy, perfect match with the vinegared rice. And as above, you cannot see the rice as the slice of fish is larger than the rice. I suppose this is how it should be in Japan too.. As for the salmon roe sushi, it was really fresh and tasty as well. The sweet and refreshing taste proved the freshness of the roe! hehe. Both are delicious!
The sets that we ordered!! All are nice in my opinion.. haha, i'm not really picky about food. As long as it's not awful, it tastes fine to me!! hehe. But the gyoza tasted like har gow (Shrimp dumplings) in my sisters' opinion. haha. There is it, our satisfying lunch at Akashi Vivocity!! Nice, i like! Will return in the future for more! :))
Satisfied pair :DD
And yup, we managed to get a pair of shoe for mummy!! Got a pair of shoes myself too. :)) On a lighter note, first paper down! manage to scrape through it despite studying for less than 15 hours cause I was so BLUR!! One more to go tomorrow and I'm free!! WAHAHAHA!! will blog again soon, bye bye!
