Sho Teppan + Kbox

Hello!! Went to town with Gabby on the first week of school!! was planning for a shopping trip, which turned out to be a karaoke session! hehe, it's been some time since i last went for karaoke, and i was sure excited that we are gonna SING!! Before singing, we head for lunch at Sho Teppan in Orchard Ion. It's a really interesting restaurant in my opinion, Love their Cook-It-Yourself concept. They offer both Teppanyaki and Sukiyaki, so it's up to you whether you feel for something soupy or dry. and you can choose between rice, udon and ramen for sukiyaki/ shabu shabu. Our orders: Beef Yakimeshi and Chicken Shabu Shabu. Service was prompt and okay. while waiting for our food and drinks to be served, we browsed through the pictures of customers who dined at Sho Teppan that were pasted all over the walls.

it did not take long for our orders to be served! Mad excited with the thought of cooking our food ourselves! 1,2 3// Go! Gabby started cooking first while i had to wait for my pot of soup to boil.. She was frantically stir-frying her rice before they become charred. And in a jiffy, our fried rice was ready!! According to Gabby, it was the best fried rice she'd ever had, and she polished off every single grain of it. 

The chicken shabu shabu which was quite nice too. The soup base was sweetened by the generous amount of vegetables boiled in the soup. The thinly sliced chicken slices were quite plain in contrary, which explains the bottles of sauces and condiments made available. Ended up finishing the vegetables but not the meat.
LOL. I still could not believe that I had the appetite to finish the veg, salad, and most of the soup as I consumed loads of snacks just before that. I ate plenty of iced gems biscuits and popcorn before lunch :p

After our yummilicious lunch, we went to shop for a cardigan for me as i forgot to bring mine. Got a pretty decent one for $20? then off we went to Cineleisure for karaoke!! It was a singing marathon!! We stayed in the lounge for about 4 to 5 hours before the system 'chased' us out. LOL. But seriously, the air conditioning in the lounge was super strong!! We were freezing like mad while singing. I sang with all my might and tried to stay active by moving non-stop in attempt to get rid of the coldness. Brr..

Dinner after karaoke!! It was already 8.30pm when we got out of the lounge. Walked around and explored for a little before strolling back to Ion. Discovered that *Scape is actually a shopping mall and Red Mango Froyo is located there. Wanted very much to try the froyo but due to us being half frozen by the strong air conditioning system in Kbox, we had absolutely no craves for it. Boo..
Instead, we had warm and yummy soup for dinner!! Soup Spoon for dinner! We got ourselves a loyalty card from there. It was so funny! I had 50 points extra compared to Gabby when she spent 10cents more than me. LOL. But i bet that it was a mistake. haha. And finally, home after dinner!
