Beautiful Breakfasts

I'm an extremely breakfast person, I MUST take breakfast every morning before going to work. ^^ Therefore, I enjoy browsing for recipes and making my own breakfast. I'll try to wake up earlier in order to make my own breakfast. Here are some of my favourites:
1) Oatmeal with fruits
I absolutely enjoy this combination of oatmeal topped with grounded cinnamon along with a side of fresh fruits. Simple and healthy, you can't go wrong with this!!

2) Sauteed vegetables with toast
This is a combination which satisfies my craving for savory breakfast. It's light and filling, I love to add some chili flakes and mustard for some additional "kick" to it.

3) Garden salad/ Yoghurt and fruits
This combination is for days when I wake up late. All I have to do is to wash some salad leaves, tomatoes and some fruits coupled with plain yoghurt and breakfast is ready. Great for a quick bite before rushing off to work.

4) Bread!!
Of course it's bread!! I LOVE my carbohydrates, especially bread!! I'll be happy with cheese/ jam or peanut butter on toasts.

These are a few of my favourite breakfast, of course, there are more to come!!
Coming up next is another popular breakfast food which I tried out in a cafe. They are PANCAKES!! That's right!! Who doesn't love pancakes?! Lol. The pancakes which I tried were from Batter Fluffy Flaps (BFF) located at 89 East Coast Road. The cafe serves all day pancakes. It was an unexpected visit after working at the east side branch during HFMD closure.
The cafe looked so invited and cute with a fluffy sheep as their logo, I couldn't resist but to step in for a bite!! The menu was quite comprehensive, ranging from savory, sweet and even customized pancakes. All of the choices sounded soo delicious. I settled for the simple stack of 3 blueberry pancakes with a cup of green tea in the end as I had lunch in school.

The pancakes took approximately 10~15 minutes to be served. They were served with butter and maple syrup at the side. Most importantly, the pancakes were made upon order, thus, they were piping hot and fresh when served.
The pancakes were soft and tasted quite normal, my only complain was that the maple syrup. I hope that they change it to something similar to Mcdonald's. hehe. The price of the pancakes was $7 exclusive of drinks. It's not a bad place overall and I'm willing to go back to try other items on the menu if I happen to be nearby. (:
Will be ending my food post here then!! tata~

On the other hand, I'm so glad that I do not have work tomorrow as we had Summer Festival celebration yesterday!! Summer festival is a major event to the Japanese, therefore, help was needed from every single one of the staff in school. A "funfair" was held in our school where we had games and food stalls such as popcorn, ice-cream, okonomiyaki, sausages and fried chicken. The preparation work was tough, especially on the teachers in charge of the event so I'm so glad that the event was successful. hehe. It was an interesting experience for me as a new staff and that I get to wear a Yukata!!
The Yukata was really fitting at the waist that I needed to maintain a good posture throughout the day. It was super pretty as well, so I felt really honoured to be able to wear it :) Everyone looked so pretty is their Yukatas, both teachers and children. It was a pity that I didnt get to take many pictures though..

Ending the post with pictures from yesterday!! hehe.. Bye!!
