Hong Kong (Part III)

This is continued from our trip in Lantau Island, we proceed to the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery after retuning from Tai O.
The big Buddha is a famous attraction in Lantau Island, so it was a "must-go" for us despite the long flight of stairs with 268 steps. So yeah, we embarked on our "hike" up the stairs and boy, that was a good workout! But it was all worth it, we enjoyed panoramic view of the island as well as a closer view of the majestic Buddha statue.

Made our way to the Po Lin Monastery after which for lunch! As it was a monastery, only vegetarian food were served. The beancurd (Tau Huay) and bee hoon were pretty awesome!

We bought a super yummy corn on our way back to the cable car station, which was very comforting and tasted so sweet in the cold weather.
We had the most terrifying cable car ride on our way back to Tung Chung. The wind was so strong that the cable cars swung slightly. And do note that it was quite a long ride, the whole ride was about 20-25 minutes? It was scarier when you could hear the wind howling from the gaps of the cable car.. :S

That very much concluded our trip to Lantau Island.
I had some takeaways from this trip:
1)  It wasn't a wise choice to choose join the 'guided' tour as not much 'guidance' was given. Just isn't worth the extra money!
2)  It is advisable to leave for the cable car at about 3pm plus as the queue was ultra long when we went to queue at 4.30pm. We were stuck in the queue for about 1hr 30mins before we managed to get onto the cable car back to Tung Chung.
